I just came across a 1970 Chevelle for sale in Georgia for $8000, and I’m curious about whether that price is reasonable. The condition looks pretty rough from the pics, and I’ve seen some mixed opinions online. Has anyone else checked out this car or have thoughts on its value? Would love to get some insights before jumping in.
$8k for that condition? The seller must be out of their mind. Definitely not worth it.

Right? I’d say it’s more like a $2k car at best. Who do they think they’re fooling?
That pricing is just wackadoo. I’d offer a grand and part it out instead. Better return that way.

Good strategy! If it has a 12 bolt posi, maybe bump it to $1200, but still, that’s a stretch.
Honestly, not even close to $8k without a running motor and decent interior. Maybe $2k if it drives.

Agreed. It’s a shame because Chevelles are awesome, but this one looks like a project.
Looks like the seller added an extra zero by mistake. I wouldn’t touch it unless it’s in much better shape.

Or they’re just hoping for someone who doesn’t know better!
If it’s an actual numbers matching big block SS, maybe it’s worth that, but otherwise, no way.

Exactly! But with that interior and condition, I doubt it’s anything special.
