200-210 horsepower was sufficient for a 91 V6. I wish mine were the standard. According to what I’ve read, they were previously making 260-270 and had to detune them based on the transmissions available to help them last longer. If they had released it with 260-270 horsepower, it would have trounced their Corvette at the time, IIRC. For that amount, it would have been an incredible deal.

I adore this era of GM style. The coupe shape of the Lumina, Beretta, and Cavalier was similar. Especially in the Z variants.

You undoubtedly have one of the most intriguing cars at any automotive show. Just really rare. Love it.

Same. My mother owned a Baretta in black rose metallic, and I’ve always admired these cars. Show??? I suppose she looks good from the back. The paint is rough and has a few dents. I just acquired a new bumper cover to paint and install on. I’m attempting to restore, but not ridiculously. I want to fix what I can and have it redone. Fix any rust, which is mostly under the trunk because it was sealed shut and sat accumulating leaves and water, etc. I paid $1500 for her and have paid a lot in parts and whatnot. I have all-new front lights. I can’t find the driver’s side yet. In the end, she should look.

I bought a kit to see what I could do, but if it doesn’t work, I’ll look for help to remove the dents. I can’t wait to paint it and restore its “new” appearance. Of course, there is a filter to make it appear even better. And so many things just suddenly break on these devices, whether it’s aging plastic or something idiotic that happens. It’s frustrating.

Yeah, that’s roughly what Mustangs and Camaros produced in 1991; certain 350 F-bodies may have been slightly higher, but not by much. It wasn’t worth bothering to dig up exactly which year they made what; I believe it ranged from 210-240ish depending on whether it was the 5.0/5.7 and changed slightly every few years, but it was close. This marked the beginning of the end for the low power V8s.

I have always wanted one of these with a 6 speed manual swapped in.

Gm was churning out some memorable cars in the late 80s and early 90s. Now they don’t even sell cars.

GM sells cars still, as long as you want a Cadillac
