1991 Chevy Lumina Z34, automatic, 3.4L Twin Dual Cam with Multi-Port Injection

She’s coming along. Just trying to keep her running—she’s my daily driver.

My neighbour owned one of these. It’s so fun to drive.

200-210 hp was pretty impressive for a 91 V6. I wish mine had the standard setup. From what I’ve read, they originally made 260-270 hp but had to detune them due to the limitations of the available transmissions, to improve durability. If they had released it at 260-270 hp, it would have outperformed the Corvette of that era, if I remember correctly. At that price, it would have been an incredible value.

I totally agree—this era of GM styling was great. The Lumina, Beretta, and Cavalier all had that distinctive coupe shape, especially in the Z versions. You definitely have one of the more interesting and rare cars at any car show. It’s a real standout.

I’ve always craved for one of these with a 6-speed manual swapped in.

GM was producing some standout cars in the late 80s and early 90s, but now they don’t even offer cars for sale.
