Dumb question, but I know the remote start run time is 10 minutes. What about crank time? This morning it was -33°F, and my truck cranked over for over 10 seconds. Does it stop if the truck won’t start, or does it just keep going?
They have a set crank cycle. It will stop after 15-30 seconds if it doesn’t start.
Yeah, it’s designed to prevent damage. You should be good if it’s cranking for that long, but try to start it manually next time if it’s really cold.
Just to be safe, make sure your battery is in good condition. Cold weather can drain it quickly.
