2016 Chevy traverse Bluetooth problems

My phone and the traverse can sync, however I can not play music. I watched a YouTube video that demonstrated how to sync a phone so that the touchscreen could display the music options. Sirius and fm/am, for example. The man in the YouTube video is holding up a picture of a phone. Ours does not show the phone. I have no idea what is happening. Not only can I not fully operate the interface on my wife’s automobile, but she is also unable to play music.

It sounds like your Traverse doesn’t have the MyLink radio system.
MyLink is necessary to stream music from your phone; otherwise, Bluetooth is only for phone calls.

Hi William… It sounds like you’re having trouble getting your phone to fully sync with your wife’s Chevrolet Traverse to play music. Even though the phone is synced, it seems like the music options aren’t showing up on the touchscreen. Ensure your phone is set to play audio via Bluetooth in the car’s settings; sometimes, it’s only connected for calls, not media. Check your phone’s Bluetooth settings and ensure both “Phone Audio” and “Media Audio” are enabled for the car. If that doesn’t work, try deleting the phone from the car’s Bluetooth settings and re-pairing it from scratch, ensuring both the car’s infotainment system and your phone have the latest updates. Finally, check the car’s touchscreen menu for a Bluetooth audio or media option that needs to be selected separately from the regular radio options. If these steps don’t help, consulting the car’s manual or visiting a dealership might be necessary to troubleshoot the issue further.

Thanks. I assumed it was something like this but I wasn’t sure. I do find it ridiculous though.
