2016 Cruze Premier, car says to service the TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system)

Hi all, on the dashboard screen, on the TPMS section, one of the pressure values for the tires is gone. Three of the tires show pressure readings, but one doesn’t. What does this mean?

If one is gone, the other 3 aren’t far behind. Wait till you need new tires and swap the service pack (usually it’s just the battery that needs to be replaced, if not they’ll figure it out on the spot). In the meantime, buy a manual tire pressure gauge.

It means the battery died in one of the sensors and you need to buy a new sensor.

Ok, got ya. Is this something that I can replace myself or no?

Do you have a machine to remove a tire from the rim of a wheel? Lol. It’s gonna cost a new sensor + labor of some place taking it off the rim. If you can find a shop in the ghetto, they might do it cheap if you offer to install it, tell them you just need access to the sensor to swap it. It’s pretty easy to swap yourself, but usually it’s worth waiting till you need a new tire there. Or just ignore the warning light. It won’t hurt anything.

@Mal
Well fair enough, I suppose. Thanks for your help :slight_smile:
