2019 Silverado 4.3 WT - My budget-friendly Trailboss

Yes, it’s a 4.3, but it’s my 4.3; I have enjoyed this vehicle since I bought it. So far, no problems at 66k miles; it has a 2-inch leveling kit in the front, and I’m running 20-inch wheels with 33-inch tires. I also upgraded the cluster and steering wheel. I’m probably going to do a headlight and grille replacement someday. It’s coming together, though, and I’m enjoying it. I also never expected an 8042-pound towing capacity from a V6, but it’s fairly impressive. When I purchased the vehicle, the listing stated that it could pull 9800 pounds; I’m assuming that’s with tow-haul mode engaged.

How on earth are you getting 28 mpg over 800 miles? That’s wild!

Haha, it’s not actually 28 mpg! When I installed the new cluster, it took a full tank for it to recalibrate. I’m really getting around 15 to 20 mpg.

Wait, you’re getting 15-20 mpg? I’ve got a 5.3 and I average 19.6 mpg with a mix of city and highway driving.

Yeah, in the city it’s more like 15-16 mpg, but I hit 20+ on the highway. I should’ve explained better earlier!

@Marlo
If I’m only on the highway, I can get up to 22-24 mpg if I stick close to the speed limit. But in the city, it’s around 17-18 mpg for me.

Looks like we’re truck twins, got the same one!

That’s a clean ride!

Say what you will, but the 2019 WT has everything you need, even a touchscreen and backup camera. If I had one fully paid off, I’d keep it until it couldn’t go anymore.

Totally agree! It’s got everything you need. I’ve added a couple cosmetic upgrades and two useful interior mods, and that’s all I could ask for.
