2020 Spark USB-C just stopped working… any thoughts?

Hey guys, I am scratching my head here. So, I plugged my phone into the USB-C for Android Auto, and… nothing. It won’t even charge. The USB-A and 12V are working just fine though.

The weirdest part is it was working perfectly just 3 minutes earlier. I used Android Auto with USB-C, turned off my car, ran inside to pick up my coffee order, and came back out, and then it suddenly stopped working.

No charging, no Android Auto, just dead. Anyone got any suggestions?

Did you try a different USB-C cable? Sometimes that’s all it is.

Not yet, I’m stuck at work right now, but I’ll grab one from the store later. Fingers crossed that it’s just the cable.

Yeah, sounds like the cord might be the problem. Definitely try swapping it out first.

The funny thing is, this has been the one cable I’ve had zero issues with… until today.

Could just be a random glitch. My USB-A did the same thing once and then worked fine the next day.

I’ve had a similar problem with the Chevrolet software too—my iPhone charges, but the car gets stuck ‘connecting’ forever without actually entering CarPlay. That also fixed itself overnight.

@Jesse
I hope that’s what happens! Would love to get in my car after work, plug my phone in, and have Android Auto magically work again.
