We just got a 2021 Blazer, and it’s been stuttering a bit when I start to accelerate. I thought it might be the air filter, but the sensor says it’s 90% good. I will check the filter this weekend, but has anyone else had this issue? Could it be a dirty injector or a spark plug? I had a terrible experience with the dealers, so I would rather not take it in right away. Hope it’s not the transmission.
I had a similar issue with my 2020 Blazer. Turned out it was the spark plugs. They were worn out way earlier than I expected. I would check those first before jumping to bigger conclusions.
I had a stuttering problem too. It ended up being a dirty injector. A simple injector cleaner fixed it up. Maybe give that a try before taking it in. Dealers love charging for stuff like that.
@Benjamin, I have seen this before with the Blazer. If the air filter is clean and the plugs are good, you might want to check the throttle body. A bit of carbon buildup can cause stuttering on acceleration. Easy fix if that’s the issue.
The transmission is always a worry, but don’t make such a conclusion yet. Like others said, it’s more likely something small, like the plugs or injectors.
Don’t say more on dealers @Benjamin. They wanted to charge me an arm and a leg for something small last time. So I prefer the Chevy mechanic.
Waaah! They are something. Thanks for the advice
