2023 Equinox 'Add Phone' Button Not Working

Hey guys :blush: I am renting a 2023 Equinox for a long trip and trying to set up Bluetooth for hands-free calls and music. I’ve got an updated iPhone 14, but I can’t seem to connect to it. I removed all previous phones, but when I press “Add New Phone,” nothing happens, and the car doesn’t show up on my phone’s Bluetooth list. :confused:

I’ve tried connecting through the phone app, music app, and settings app, but no luck. Even tried updating the car’s software, but it says “no updates available.” Any ideas on what else I can do to get this working? I don’t want my trip to be boring! :red_car::notes:

This is likely because everyone who has rented the car has done the same thing and many have not deleted their devices before returning the car, so the infotainment system has the maximum capacity of 8 phones paired to it.

Go into the phone menu and delete all the devices, then try adding yours again.

Alternatively, use the settings menu to return to factory settings > delete all personal data, which will clear all phones at once. I recommend figuring out how to do this and doing it when you return to the car.
