2023 trailblazer

Ever since my car was totaled, I have found myself in a rather unusual position, actively shopping for a new car. Today I drove a gorgeous baby blue 2023 trailblazer with a huge moon roof and I LIKE it. I am getting quite a lot of feedback from my friends and relatives about Chevy and am in a position to know their reliability and durability. I require something that will last for at least 3-5 years since I am in my twenties and wouldn’t want to change my car for the next few years at least.

Any comments? Concerns? General thoughts on chevy? good and bad please

I am a GM technician. I don’t encounter many issues with the Trailblazer. The only common problem is the check engine light coming on due to a purge pump issue, which doesn’t cause any driveability issues.

I have a 2022 Trailblazer RS, which has been a reliable vehicle with 45,000 miles and no issues. It comfortably fits my two kids, aged 8 and 6, in the back.

As with any new vehicle, you shouldn’t have any issues for the first 5 years / 100k miles. Change the oil, don’t beat the shit out of it and you’ll be fine for a long time.

My 2006 Chevy Trailblazer is running strong after 18 years. I have had no issues with my Chevy leases, including the 2012 Equinox, 2015 and 2017 Traverse, and the 2020 Equinox that we bought. Nowadays, top manufacturers are on par, but Chevy offers great value. My aunt traded her 2020 Ford Escape for a 2024 Chevy Trax, noticing a huge difference in road feel. My buddy loves his new 2022 Chevy Colorado, regretting not choosing a Silverado over his 2016 Ram 1500. GM vehicles have become very impressive in the past decade.

You did not have any issues with the 2012 Equinox because you leased it. The EcoTec four bangers in the early years of that generation were garbage.

We upgraded for more space and better acceleration. When we considered downsizing in 2020, I test-drove the 2.0T Equinox and immediately loved it. It’s been almost 5 years, and it’s only needed oil changes and tires.

We have a 2022 Equinox my partner’s car uses it occasionally it has only 17,000 miles. It has a 1. 5L engine, the lesser one than the 2. 0L model. Some problems arose because of supply chain challenges, and we had to replace the radio antenna and also put the seat warmers that were missing. $50 holds the Monroney sticker with the sale while the dealer service campaign intends to open up the seat warmers.

The current generation Trailblazer is an Asian import, so I would expect it to be fairly reliable.

Two of my kids :star_struck: they are grown up though, drive 2023 Trailblazers and they have had no issues with them for 2 years. I drive a 23 suburban and have had one weird noise issue that was fixed and there are two spots on it from defective paint.

I have got a 2012 Chevy that’s been reliable for me. Despite all the complaints about GM quality, it hasn’t let me down. I have only had to do basic maintenance like brakes, tires, and fluid changes. Living in Canada, where vehicles rust quickly, I did have to replace a rusted suspension part, but it was only $200, so it wasn’t too bad. Overall, the car hasn’t been expensive to own, and I plan to drive it until it can’t go anymore. I love how it drives, and every GM my family has had has lasted well. This won’t be my last Chevy.
