4.3L V6 S10 VS. 3.6L V6 Colorado

My buddy is getting an S10 with a 4.3L V6 and claims it will beat my truck off the line. I have a 2016 Z71 Off-Road Colorado with a 3.6L V6. I tried looking online for answers but couldn’t find anything definitive. I did find that the Colorado has a 0-60 time of about 6.1 seconds, while the S10 has a 0-60 time of around 9 seconds. This makes sense since the S10’s engine is older, while the Colorado’s is newer. I also have an S&B cold air intake, which gives me an extra 5hp—it’s not much, but it improves air intake and response time. Can someone help me settle this dispute with my buddy? His truck is likely from the 1990s to 2003, as it has the 4.3L V6.

Good choice, But seriously, based on what I found online, the Colorado Z71 with the 3.6L definitely seems to have the edge. The newer engine and lighter weight probably give it an advantage. Still, why not settle it at the [local drag strip / friendly, safe location] for fun?
