My wife got a 2020 Equinox a couple years ago. While driving at night, we are constantly getting brights flashed at us. We don’t keep the brights on, there aren’t cops ahead, and nothing that would make sense. I don’t think the Equinox has any more obnoxious headlight brightness than other cars. I’ve never seen this happen with any other vehicle, because it happens so often. Anyone else having this happen? Any idea why?
They might be adjusted too high. Headlights are supposed to point down a bit. If they’re straight ahead, they could be blinding people. Are you sure they’re flashing brights at you and not just hitting bumps in the road?
@Emerson
Yeah, maybe take the car to an inspection shop so they can check the alignment.
Do the 2020 models have LED or HID lights?

I’m not entirely sure, but I think HID. They’re not obnoxiously bright like I see on some other cars. I’ve been in cars with super bright HIDs that don’t get flashed.
I honestly believe all the new bulbs are too bright. I wonder how I used to navigate with incandescent bulbs in my 80s cars in high school.
My 2020 Premier has LED headlights from the factory. I occasionally have other drivers flash their lights at me too.
If your Equinox was used, do you know if it had any front-end damage? It sounds like it needs a headlight adjustment check.
