Anyone else having issues with their Chevy Cruze

Hey everyone, I’ve got a 2018 Chevy Cruze and it’s been idling really rough lately. When I take the gas cap off while it’s running, I notice some pressure release and then it starts idling weird and sometimes even shuts off. Anyone experienced this? I’m kinda worried about it…

Yeah, I had that issue with my Cruze too! It turned out to be a stuck purge valve. Super annoying.

What’s a purge valve? I haven’t heard of that before.

It helps manage fuel vapor in the tank. If it sticks, it can mess with how your car runs.

I had a similar problem. My car would cut off at lights too. It was a pain!

Did you figure out what was wrong? I’m worried mine might do the same.

Yeah, it was mostly the purge valve as well. Definitely check that out.

I think it could also be a vacuum issue. Have you checked the vacuum line?

Not yet, but I’ll definitely look into that. Thanks for the tip!

If you’re gonna change the purge valve, it shouldn’t cost too much at a shop. Just FYI.

Good to know! I was worried it would be super expensive.

I was about to change my fuel filter too! Glad I held off. Sounds like you might save money by just fixing the purge valve.

Yeah, I didn’t want to start throwing money at parts randomly. Appreciate the support!
