Hey everyone… I accidentally damaged the side mirror on my 2018 Chevy Equinox while backing out of the garage. It has lane keep assist and blind spot warning, which I know makes it more complicated and pricey to fix. I checked a few local shops, but they’re hesitant to work on it because of the lane keep assist feature. Has anyone had to replace a mirror like this? I expect it’ll be expensive, but I’d love to find cheaper parts online. Also, is it something I could install and recalibrate myself?
Why not look for a used OE mirror? They’re super cheap since there are so many Equinoxes out there. Try car-part.com.
Used is a good idea… I’ll check it out.
Wait, what’s OE? I’m not sure what that means.
If you’re thinking of installing it yourself, check some YouTube tutorials! They can really help you with the calibration part too.
