Hello, I have a 2013 Chevy Spark. This morning, I was sitting in my car before school when the engine light came on. I shut off my car and went to class, then returned an hour later, and now it won’t start. My engine light is solid yellow-orange. When I try to start it, my engine makes very slow clicks but does not vibrate or do anything else that normally happens when it starts. Is it the battery, or something else?

If it’s clicking, but not starting, that’s usually a dead battery. In the eight years I’ve had my Spark I’ve replaced the battery three (maybe four?) times and it’s always just clickclickclick when I go to start it.

Thank you for your help! I ended up getting it replaced, which I didn’t even know car batteries got replaced tbh lol. Are they normally like $200???

Yeah the battery is not too cheap, but for me when mine dies it’s almost always still under a prorated warranty so that helps

Jump the car, then drive it to a place that installs car batteries.
