Chevrolet traverse vs chevrolet tahoe

Looking for a bigger family car than our 4Runner right now. Family of four that enjoys road trips with a dog and occasionally a fifth person requires three rows and a large trunk to fit the belongings of the kids. Choosing between a Chevrolet Tahoe and a Chevrolet Traverse, and wondering:

Which of these is more valuable? Does the Tahoe justify the additional cost? Is it difficult to drive and park the Tahoe because of its size? Is there a chance that one will outlive the other?

@AlexJohnson For a family of four, the Chevrolet Traverse is a terrific option from Chevy. For a family of four with a dog, it is still more affordable than the Tahoe and offers plenty of space for passengers and goods.
