Chevy Equinox vs GMC Terrain... seeking advice

I’m looking to purchase a new vehicle. I had a 2021 Chevy Blazer and loved it, but it was recently totaled. Now I’m trying to decide between a 2025 Chevy Equinox or a 2024 GMC Terrain. Does anyone have any advice one way or the other? Definitely looking to buy from GM Motors. Thank you!

Check out the Buicks too. The Envision is comparable and has a lot of great features even on the base model.

Of the two, definitely the new Equinox. A better comparison would be the 25 Equinox vs. 25 Terrain since both will be refreshed. Then it’s a matter of diagonal screen vs. vertical.

Just got the new 25 Equinox a month ago. Activ trim with chunky AT tires. Love it so far. Nice size for me, not too big or too small, and well-priced for what you get. The two-tone maple sugar interior is comfy with all the latest tech. The new exterior looks more like a truck and less like a minivan, which is great for a daily driver. Plus, it has Google built-in with 8 years of free connection.

The instrument panel on the GMC is a red that I just don’t care for. For that reason, and because of the new design of the ‘25 Equinox, I’d go with Chevy.

I’m not sure when it goes on sale, but the new Terrain looks really good, even the Elevation trim seems to have a lot of features. I just watched this video today: https://youtu.be/NycBeIr6Bgo?t=16.

The 24 Terrains are on sale right now and cheaper than the Equinox, so that’s why I’m considering it over Chevy.

I do believe this new Terrain is refreshed in 2025 only.
