I’m having trouble opening my Chevy key fob. I swear I used to be able to get it open with a little jiggle, but now it’s stuck tight. I need to replace the battery, but I can’t even get the thing open! Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated. I’ve tried gently prying it open, but I’m worried about breaking it

Here are some of the tips that might help you:
- Use a flat tool: Try using a flathead screwdriver or a coin. Insert it into the seam of the key fob and gently twist it to pry it open. Be careful not to apply too much force to avoid breaking the plastic.
- Check for a release button: Some Chevy key fobs have a small release button or latch that you need to press to open the fob. Look for any small buttons or latches on the side or back of the fob.
- Warm it up: Sometimes, a little warmth can help loosen the plastic. You can try holding the key fob in your hands for a few minutes or using a hairdryer on a low setting to gently warm it up.
- Consult the manual: If you have the owner’s manual for your vehicle, it might have specific instructions on how to open the key fob.
- Use a Small Tool: Using a flathead screwdriver or other plastic tool, carefully pry apart the fob.
- Look for any little screws on the rear that might need to be removed.
- Warm It Up: To soften the glue, gently warm the fob with a hair drier.
- Refer to the Instruction Manual: See the handbook for your car for more instructions.
- Visit a dealership: They can repair the battery and assist in opening the fob if necessary.
