I’ve got a Chevy Malibu and recently started getting a “Shift to Park” message even when the car is already in park. It’s driving me nuts! Has anyone else dealt with this? What’s the fix? Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated.
To fix the “Shift to Park” issue in Chevy Malibu, dealership mechanics need to replace the shifter assembly. They do this by disconnecting and removing the cable bolt and transmission lever cable together. Then, they can take out the old shifter assembly and install a new one.
