Hey folks,
I’m thinking about getting a Chevy Uplander and wanted to get the lowdown from anyone who’s driven one. How’s the reliability, comfort, and overall experience? Any quirks or things I should know before diving in?
Hey folks,

Avoid it. I’ve been a happy GM/Chevrolet customer for thirty years. The Uplander is the lone outlier. POS. The rest of it is a badly designed pile, but the engine and gearbox are fine and might last forever. Not good with the electrical, brakes, chassis, etc. When I see one still in use, I’m startled and feel bad for the driver.
The Chevy Uplander, produced from 2005 to 2008 is reliable with a J.D. power rating of 74 out of 100 for quality and reliability.
In addition, it offers plenty of storage compartments and a flexible seating arrangement, which is great for families offering a smooth ride and comfortable seating.
It is equipped with a 240-horsepower V6 engine, it provides decent performance but is not as refined as some competitors.
Something to note is that it lacks some modern safety features like side curtain airbags for all three rows and has lower crash test scores compared to other minivans.
Therefore, if you are looking for a budget-friendly minivan with decent comfort and performance, the Uplander could be a good choice.
They’re not fancy, but from what I recall, they’re fairly dependable for a shitbox. So I don’t think it is worth it.
Reliable, comfortable minivan, but production ended in 2009. Check the maintenance history and test drive before buying. Consider fuel efficiency and explore other minivan options.
