I drive a 2014 Chevy Spark and recently had my brakes replaced. About a week later, I started noticing that my ABS light and traction control light turned on randomly. I’m thinking it might be a wheel sensor issue. Do you think the mechanic could have broken the sensor while replacing the brakes, or is this just a coincidence?
It’s possible. Sometimes those sensors just fail after a while, and even a slight bump can push it over the edge. My car’s sensors acted up after a tire rotation because the shop was rough with it.

That makes sense. I guess age can play a part too. Thanks for the insight!
I had a similar issue with a different car. The mechanic accidentally smashed the ABS sensor cable while trying to knock off the rotors, and it caused all sorts of problems.

Yikes, that sounds frustrating. I’ll have to check if my sensor is damaged too.
Definitely worth getting it checked out. If it’s a sensor issue, it might be an easy fix!

Yeah, I’ll take it into the shop and have them look at it. Thanks for the advice!
