I’m having a strange issue with my 2012 Chevy Cruze LS. The engine runs fine when I start the car, but if I turn it off and try to start it again without waiting 8-9 minutes, the engine stalls out while I’m driving, which is really dangerous. If I wait those 8-9 minutes after shutting it off, I hear a valve close, kind of like the defrost cog, and then when I start it again, everything runs smoothly. Anyone else experienced this?
Have you checked for any error codes? It might help to know what’s going on.

I haven’t checked for codes yet. I’ll look into that. Any specific codes I should be aware of?
@BillSmith
Codes related to the fuel system or ignition could be important. Also, check for any vacuum leaks.

Thanks! I’ll make sure to check those. What if I find something suspicious?
@BillSmith
If you find anything, it might be worth taking it to a mechanic. They can do a more thorough diagnosis.
Sounds like a possible fuel delivery issue. Have you had the fuel pump checked?

No, I haven’t checked the fuel pump yet. Do you think that could cause this kind of problem?
@BillSmith
Definitely. If the fuel pump isn’t working properly, it could be causing the engine to stall, especially after a short restart.

Got it. I’ll have the fuel pump checked as well. Thanks for the tip!
