Has anyone ordered a 2024 Trax/Envista and gotten it?

Has anyone received their 2024 Trax/Envista order after about six weeks? My status just updated to ‘your vehicle order has been accepted by General Motors and is moving towards production.’ What delivery timeframe can I expect?

After checking with one dealer (forgot to ask the other), they mentioned an expected wait of 4-6 months, but this can vary based on the dealer and region. Hopefully, production is running smoothly; it seems a lot of units from the Korean plant are destined for the US, and possibly some for Latin America, with China filling other global orders. Personally, I wish they were also producing some at San Luis Potosi, where the previous model was made, to increase availability in the US.

I truly believe GM has done an excellent job with many aspects of the Trax (and to some extent the Envista, though I’m not fond of its taller sportback look personally, but others might be!). I’m planning to place an order in October and hope to receive it around April or May next year. I’m leaning towards the LT with all the options; while the LS and 1RS have their appeal, the LT seems like the better choice for me.

Here’s hoping it arrives in your driveway or parking lot soon.

I placed an order for a Buick Envista in late July 2023. The build was finished on September 22, 2023. Initially, the delivery date was scheduled for late November 2023, then pushed to the end of January 2024. As we approach the end of February 2024, the dealership is still attempting to locate the vehicle. According to tracking information, despite being built in Korea, the vehicle appears to have remained in China for several months.

I test drove a 2RS Trax and enjoyed it, but decided to order an Envista ST instead. I prefer the styling and appreciate the additional features like the optional power liftgate offered by Buick. Hoping for a swift delivery, and thank you for your good wishes. It seems they really need to increase production; at the dealership, these models attracted the most interest. On the day I visited, they had received 5 units, with 3 already sold and the one I test drove being sold before I left the lot.

Yeah, that makes sense. It wouldn’t surprise me if the Trax ends up outperforming some of its rivals in its price range. One thing that’s hard not to like about it is its competitive pricing. Personally, I find the CX30 a bit too small, and while the Corolla Cross isn’t bad, the hybrid version in its better configuration is pricier and can be more challenging to obtain at MSRP.

I find the Corolla Cross and Honda HR-V too bland and unexciting for my liking.

I thought about the CX-30, but Mazda’s infotainment system was disappointing with its small, non-touchscreen display. Additionally, the backseat is practically unusable for adults, lacking sufficient space.

I personally find their infotainment system great; the dial is quite intuitive once you get used to it. I drove a few CX-50s last year, so I adapted quickly. However, I understand why many prefer touchscreens. That’s my concern with the CX-30 though. I need something that can accommodate larger adults if I have family with me. The Trax seems like the better choice for that. The Cross would do, but I think I’d lean more towards the Trax.
