Help with Chevrolet Captiva Bluetooth and Language?

Hello,

I recently bought a 2013 Chevrolet Captiva and want to use the Bluetooth feature. However, when I try to pair my phone by holding the phone button, the voice prompts are in Spanish, though the display text is in English. Does anyone know how to switch the voice language to English?

Thanks…

To switch the voice prompts from Spanish to English in your 2013 Chevrolet Captiva, you’ll want to access the settings menu for the Bluetooth system. Start by pressing the phone button to initiate the pairing process. Once the voice prompts begin, look for a command that allows you to access settings; this is often something like “Settings” or “Configuration.” If you’re prompted to choose a language, select English. If the voice prompts do not provide an option, try accessing the audio or settings menu through your vehicle’s main display screen. If you’re still having trouble, consult your owner’s manual for specific instructions related to your model or consider resetting the Bluetooth system, which might help default the settings back to English. If all else fails, a visit to your dealership may be necessary for assistance.

Thanks for this. I’ll try and see if I have OnStar in my car. I think it does because the voice will be speaking Spanish and all of a sudden say “OnStar.” Got a good laugh out of it. Thank you!

To set up Bluetooth and language on a Chevrolet Captiva, access the settings through the infotainment system. Pair your phone via Bluetooth settings, and adjust language preferences in the system’s settings menu.
