Hello, We are looking into buying a 2020 Equinox, AWD, 1.5L I4 16V GDI DOHC Turbo. My main concern is that it has just under 140,000 miles. I’d love to hear from folks who’ve owned this car or know about them. Is it a decent car that still has some life left, or should I run the other way? Thanks in advance!
Whether it’s a decent car really comes down to the asking price…

They’re asking $14k, but my hubby plans to negotiate if we decide we want it. It’s loaded with features, too.
For reference, a top-of-the-line model in 2020 would’ve cost around $30k. At 140k miles, it’s statistically likely to last until 200k, but you should consider potential repairs.
I have a 2018 Equinox and just passed 140k miles. It runs great! Regular maintenance is key.
I have a 2020 with only 27,000 miles, and it’s been great so far!
Working at a Chevrolet dealership, I can say we have very few issues with the Equinox. Customers seem happy with them.
With high mileage, the previous owner’s maintenance and driving habits are crucial. Make sure to check those.

We got a CarFax; it’s had one owner and been well maintained.
140,000 miles in 2 years is a lot. Unless you have detailed maintenance records, I’d be cautious.
I’ve been a rideshare driver for almost 8 years, so I’m used to high mileage. I know a well-maintained car can last a long time.
