How can i get MechanicMike to diagonise my car?

Hey everyone…

My Chevy’s been acting up, and I’m about to get a diagnostic. I’ve heard fees can be all over the place. What should I expect to pay? Are there any tips to avoid being overcharged? Also, if I go ahead with the repairs, do they usually apply the diagnostic fee to the total cost?

Thanks for the help…

Just reach out to them directly to schedule an appointment. Diagnostic fees can vary, but you can usually expect to pay between $100 and $150.

Expect to pay around $50–$150 for a car diagnostic. Get multiple quotes, check online reviews, and be clear about your budget. The diagnostic fee might not be applied to repairs, so inquire about that as well.

Diagnostic fees can range from $50 to $150 for basic issues, with higher costs for complex problems.

Tips to Avoid Overpaying:

  • Get Multiple Quotes: Compare prices from several repair shops.
  • Understand the Process: Ask what the diagnostic will cover and its duration.
  • Check Reviews: Look at online reviews for shop reputation.
  • Flat-Rate Shops: Consider shops offering flat-rate pricing for common repairs.
  • DIY Diagnostics: Use an OBD-II scanner for basic issues if you’re comfortable with DIY repairs.

Sounds like a perfect response to why I am on this forum today. Thank so much @Cruisin Let me get collecting quotes already.
