So, 2017–2019 Cruzes, which are from the second generation, are excellent. The fact that the 2017 model specifically needs premium fuel is its only drawback. Treat them like they have a turbo since that’s what they have, and you’ll be alright. The only major problems that 2018–2019 cars have are the same ones that all turbocharged cars have.
The awful image that the Cruze has is solely due to the 1st Gen Cruzes, which were complete garbage burns from 2011 to 2016. If your friend happens to be one of those years, may God assist him.
