How many miles is too many for a Malibu?

I’ve been looking for used Chevy Malibus, 2016 and newer, and want to know how many miles you would say is too many. What are some common problems with them?

I have a 2012 and a 2017. They both have 340,000 miles on them. If they are taken care of, one with 100,000 should last a long time.

What about a used one with 120k? I’m assuming it’s been well maintained.

@Nico
Never assume! Always check the car out for yourself! Look for uneven tire wear, check the oil cap for cleanliness, inspect for rust, and check the interior for wear. Drive the car to see how it handles. If unsure, take it to a mechanic.

I’d rather buy a well-maintained 2018 Malibu with 150k highway miles than a 2018 with 50k that’s ‘only driven to church and back.’

My 05 Max I got four years ago had 110K; now she’s at 225K and still runs brand new. As long as it’s maintained well, you can get a lot of life out of it.

It depends on the motor and maintenance history.
