How to tell if my oil cooler or intake manifold is broken

I have a 1994 LT1, and I’ve been mixing oil and coolant. The back of the engine (not exhaust) smokes some on startup. I’ve got a milkshake in my engine. How can I tell if it’s a broken oil cooler or the intake manifold? Any tips would be appreciated.

Sounds like a tough situation. A milkshake in the engine isn’t good. Have you checked for leaks around the oil cooler?

You might want to do a pressure test on the cooling system. If it drops, the intake manifold could be the culprit.

If it’s smoking on startup, that could also point to coolant leaking into the engine. Have you checked your oil for milky residue?

Honestly, it might just be best to take it to a mechanic. They can pinpoint the issue faster if you’re unsure.

Another thing to consider is a compression test. If one of the cylinders is low, that could indicate a problem with the intake manifold.
