I really desire the 2.0T, even though it has nearly 10,000 more miles. However, I’ve never owned a Chevrolet myself, but I do have a friend who owns one.
If your budget is $17,000 and you’re attracted to the Equinox, then go for it! Since both options are under 100,000 miles, choose the one you prefer, but I would also recommend considering other vehicles.
The one with 74,000 miles—if it’s certified, a Chevy dealership can sell it as a certified pre-owned vehicle as long as it has 75,000 miles or fewer. If that’s the case, I recommend going with that one.

Look for something certified. The 2.0 engine requires premium fuel, so I’d consider options with lower mileage and that are certified. Also, I’d avoid Chevy, as there have been too many issues with these Equinoxes. I know this from selling them for five years.
