I own a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu LTZ. I am often on the go and run numerous businesses, so I’m seeking a power inverter that can handle high-performance laptop operations (video editing) while not being too harsh on my car battery.

Will a 300W power inverter be suitable for the automobile charging port?

Will a 400W?

Yes, with the vehicle running. The battery will quickly deplete with the engine turned off. Invest in a good powerbank or two

Hard wire it through a fuse to the battery. If it doesn’t have an off switch, wire one in.
