I have a 2015 that’s been sitting for long periods since COVID, and I’m still on the original battery. The voltage has finally started to drop, so it’s time for a replacement. Has anyone else had their battery last this long?
I’m debating whether to stick with the same one (ACDelco Gold 48AGM) or pay five times more for the Antigravity Lithium Ion H6/Group 48 60 AH, which would save me 40 pounds. Normally, I wouldn’t think the weight savings are worth it, but the battery is on the driver’s side, so I’m unsure.
I just replaced mine on my 2017—not because it was dead, but for maintenance. I’d recommend going with an OEM Delco AGM!
My 2016 is still running on the original battery. When it’s time to replace it, I’ll go with an AGM. I don’t see any benefit in spending extra on a lithium battery just for starting purposes.
I replaced my 2014 battery last year due to paranoia, not because it had stopped working. I was surprised it lasted over nine years without any issues.
I still have the original battery in my 2017, but I plan to replace it with another ACDelco Gold 48AGM before winter.
I still have mine. I brought the car in for regular maintenance, and the dealership quoted me more than $500 for a battery replacement. They also said that a computer memory device needed to be connected to the car before the battery could be disconnected.
