Is purchasing a 2007 Trailblazer with a 4.2L engine and 80,000 miles on it a good idea?

Hey there,

I’m thinking about getting a new car, and I’m looking at a 2007 Trailblazer from a dealership. It’s got a 4.2L engine and has driven 80,000 miles. From what I can tell online, it seems to be in good shape with minimal rust, but I haven’t checked it out in person yet. I’ve read a few reviews, and they say it was a decent car when it first came out, but they don’t mention if it’s reliable or if it lasts a long time. Can anyone give me some advice on this? Thanks!

Its gas mileage and reliability aren’t the best, but if you keep it maintained and have it examined by an expert, you should be able to get by with it. I wouldn’t spend a lot for it.

If you give them any thought, they’re fantastic cars. Too many people just don’t care and blow them up. A beastly motor is the L6. View my 2007 Trailblazer on my profile to see how I evolved into a beast.

2007 Trailblazer might function! This few things to consider

  1. Reliability: While some people adore them, others have experienced problems (fuel system, transmission).
  2. Gas Guzzler: A 4.2L engine is not going to win MPG races.

What i will recommend you to do

  1. Obtain an Inspection: A mechanic’s check reveals issues that are hidden.
  2. Examine the following alternatives: the dependable Toyota Highlander and the fuel-efficient Honda Pilot.

It can be an alternative if the price is reasonable after examination and you do not mind doing additional maintenance.

If not, investigate those dependable, fuel-efficient substitutes!
