Is the 2015 Cruze a reliable car?

It looks nice and feels comfortable when inside but it is nothing close to reliable. I have had to replace the water pump twice in less than a year and the internal instruments lose power when the vehicle is in motion

The 2015 Chevrolet Cruze is considered to have a mixed reputation for reliability. Consumer feedback indicates that there have been some recalls, and owners have reported issues with the fuel system, engine cooling, and electrical accessories. Common problems include fuel pump malfunctions, the need for thermostat replacements, and failures in electrical systems such as electric window motors.

On the other hand, the 2015 Cruze is often praised for its high fuel efficiency and comfortable ride. However, some critiques point out less-than-ideal seating comfort and passenger space, along with a six-speed automatic transmission that can be sluggish in response.

While the 2015 Cruze has its advantages, it’s important for potential buyers to be aware of its history of recalls and reported issues by owners. It’s advisable to review the vehicle’s individual history and consider a pre-purchase inspection to make an informed decision.

The 2015 Cruze received favorable reliability ratings from sources like J.D. Power and Consumer Reports, often scoring around average to above-average in terms of reliability.

I genuinely love the car…

It is still reliable but I would not say it would be my top pick

If you are only looking to save fuel I would recoomend it, but it is not that comfortable

GM Tech here as well: if you’re looking for a 2015 Cruze, at the very least, attempt to locate one with a 1.8L engine. Most of the time, 1.4L engines are terrible. Run if you come across one with a 1.4L engine. Not worth the money, and you’ll have to pay more in the end.

Because I own a 2012 Cruze Eco, I am aware of this. I’m just lucky that I work as a Chevy technician and can fix any leak for almost free. But really, I’ve been working on fixing it for a while.
