Need help with the Big 3 upgrade... anyone done it?

Hey GUYS, I’m looking for some help with the Big 3 upgrade for my truck. I’ve been searching through videos and articles, but they mostly focus on the main wires. I can’t find much info about the wire going to the fuse box from the positive and the starter. Any tips or advice would be super appreciated!

I did the Big 3 upgrade on my truck last month. They usually don’t cover the fuse box wire in detail. It’s important though, so you’re on the right track.

Thanks! I figured it was important, just couldn’t find the info I needed. Did you use a specific gauge for that wire?

@Ariel
Yeah, I went with 4 AWG. It seems to handle the load well. You’ll want something thick enough to avoid voltage drop.

I agree with XYZ. The wire going to the fuse box is key for keeping everything powered. I didn’t upgrade mine at first and had issues.

Yikes, what kind of issues did you run into?

@Ariel
Just random electrical glitches and dimming lights. Once I upgraded that wire, everything was solid!

If you’re unsure about the gauge, just remember: thicker is usually better for power delivery. Good luck with the upgrade!

What’s the Big 3 upgrade exactly? I’m not familiar with it.

It’s an electrical upgrade that involves replacing the main power and ground wires to improve performance, especially if you have extra accessories.

Yeah, definitely don’t skip the fuse box wire. I learned the hard way after having to troubleshoot a bunch of issues.

Thanks for the heads up! I’ll make sure to include that in my upgrade.
