I’m looking to put some decent power into my 2013 5.3 engine and would really appreciate any advice. I want to make it more powerful but not sure where to start. Thanks in advance for any help.
Have you thought about getting a cold air intake? That can really help with performance and is a pretty easy mod.

I was thinking about that too. Does it really make a difference?
@Luca
Yeah, it can help your engine breathe better. Just make sure to get a good quality one. Sometimes people see a jump in horsepower right away.
Another option is to look into a performance tune. A good tune can optimize your engine settings for more power.

What do you mean by a performance tune? Is that complicated?
@Marley
Not really. It’s usually done with a handheld tuner or at a shop. They adjust the fuel and timing settings to get better performance. Just make sure to do it right.
If you want more power, you might also consider upgrading the exhaust system. A better exhaust can help with airflow and give you a bit of a power boost too.
@Jean
I’ve had good luck with MagnaFlow and Borla. They have some solid options out there.
Just remember to balance power upgrades with reliability. You don’t want to push the engine too hard without proper support mods.

Good point. I want to make sure it’s reliable while boosting power.
