Hey everyone! I have a 2019 Blazer RS and got my oil changed on 7/31/2024. I still have 2,000 miles until the next recommended change, but my dashboard shows only 9% oil life left. They did reset the system when I got it changed, so I’m wondering if something’s up here?
There’s no problem! The oil life monitor considers miles driven (short and long), idle time, and the time since the last reset. Nothing to worry about.

That makes sense! I didn’t realize it factored in so much. 
Yeah, the oil life monitor adjusts based on your driving habits. The 7,500-mile suggestion is for normal driving. I’d probably get it changed soon just to be safe.
If it were me, I’d change it just to be safe. Better to be cautious with engine health.
