I’ve got a Chevrolet Cruze and a few days ago, it wouldn’t start, so I had to use a jumpstart battery. Right after starting it, I heard a pop sound and felt a brief disruption in the electrical current, but everything seemed to work fine afterward. Now, every time I start it up cold, it makes the same pop sound, and the startup feels a bit slower. Any ideas on what could be going on? Thanks!
That sounds weird! Have you checked your battery connections? Sometimes a loose connection can cause those kinds of sounds.
Could it be related to the alternator? If the electrical current is dropping, it might be worth having it checked.

Good point! I’ll definitely look into that. Thanks for the suggestion!
I had a similar issue once. It turned out to be the spark plugs. They can sometimes cause weird sounds if they’re going bad.

Interesting! I haven’t checked the spark plugs yet. I’ll add that to my list.
Make sure to check your fuses too. Sometimes a blown fuse can cause temporary electrical issues when starting.

Great idea! I’ll take a look at those as well.
Just a thought, but do you think the jumpstart might have caused any issues? Sometimes it can put stress on the electrical system.

That’s definitely possible. I didn’t think about that. I’ll keep an eye on it!
