I use the remote start and the car starts, but when I go out to get in, the car is still cold, and the seat and steering wheel are still cold. I press the start button, and then everything starts working. Is this normal?
What do you set the heater controls at when you shut off the car? For my 2023 Equinox, I set the temp to hi and the fan to max before shutting it off. When it remote starts, those settings take over. The heated seats should come on if it’s below 40 degrees, but I don’t notice them getting very warm during a remote start.
The temp is set to 80 and the seats and steering wheel are set to come on when I remote start. I can hear the fan blowing when I open the door, but nothing warms up until I hit the button and drive away. I let my car run for a good 5 minutes before I go out.
Page 41 and 85 of the owner’s manual explains the settings. You might want to check it out for more details.

My settings are set. I get that part. I can remote start the car, let it run for 5-7 minutes, but when I get in, nothing is warm and the lights for the steering wheel and seat aren’t even on until I hit the start button.
The manual states, ‘The heated and ventilated seat indicators and heated steering wheel indicator may not come on during this operation.’ It also depends on the ambient temperature. All the information is there.
