Question about towing with a 2017 Traverse Premier

Hi there,

I’m seeking some help here regarding towing with my 2017 Traverse Premier. I’ve tried searching without success. Currently, the vehicle does not have a hitch. We’re looking to add one to tow a Braxton Creek Bushwhacker 10HD trailer, which has a dry weight of 1480 lbs and a hitch weight of 140 lbs.

Would purchasing an aftermarket hitch and wiring harness suffice? Or do I need the Chevy Tow Package? Also, does the Premier package include the tow package?

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

You’ll be good with those weights since your towing capacity is 5k.
