Radiator fans keep running

Hello friends I have a 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500. The radiator fans turn on and keep running in cold weather, even after I turn off the truck, and the gauge stays stuck. I found a temporary fix by disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, which resets it to normal for about a week or two. Has anyone else had this problem?

This continuous operation may be caused by a faulty fan motor or a malfunctioning fan relay switch. It is important to address this issue promptly since a constantly running fan can drain the battery and lead to decreased fuel efficiency.

I think you have a problem with the car’s thermostat and relay. If the radiator fan is always on and running in cold, then the engine is probably over heating or the radiator is not getting the right message

I think the relay that controls the radiator fans might be stuck in the β€œon” position, causing the fans to run even when the engine is cold or turned off.
