Saw a metallic green Chevy SS the other day and snapped my head back so hard that I almost off’d myself. How many have you all seen? This was my first encounter and boy😍
Haven’t seen a Chevy SS before, but my brother owns an '08 Pontiac G8 GT in Striker blue and she’s sexy.

I bet:heart_eyes:
Have quite a few around where I live, nice looking sleeper style sedan you could get with a stick. Too bad they’ve gone the way of the dodo, like all American sedans.

I understand. I couldn’t imagine driving one. Just to get my hands behind the wheel of that V8 would be amazing.
I agree!!! I almost bought one myself, but at the time I was being practical and thought RWD in the snow might suck bad. I bought an Impala instead (tenth generation Impala). Which I love, but the SS would’ve just been a kick-ass car.
@Lex
I get it! Did you get rid of your SS for the Impala? I love the 10th generation Impala!! Always have. It’s tough to me. Plus, it’s FWD if I’m not mistaken. I drive a ‘15 Camaro now and live in a state that gets snow. It’s holding up nicely though. I have a Cruze also. My Cruze is a beast in the snow.
No—the SS was an almost buy. It was basically that or the Impala. The SS would’ve been an impulse buy, whereas the Impala was planned for quite some time. In fact, it took forever to find the one I did buy. lol. The Impala has been a great car; it was the first car I bought brand new. It’s funny because the Impala needed to go back to the dealer as the sunroof was leaking. They had the car for like a month, so as a loaner they gave me a '15 Camaro with the V6 and manual transmission. Needless to say, I had more fun in that car than I have ever had in the Impala. It gave me something to plan on finding in the future; I’d love to have an '18/'19 Camaro SS with that ZL1 package in blue. I’m saving what I can so that one day it’ll sit next to the Impala and the Silverado… Adding—yep, FWD on the Impala and it does snow where I live as well.
@Lex
That’s awesome! Camaros are most definitely a fun drive! You have a nice collection thus far! A Camaro would be an awesome addition! I have a Cruze. I wanted to get an Impala then a Camaro, but I found a great Camaro and skipped over the Impala. Still want one lowkey. I also want a Silverado. Needless to say—I’m a Chevy person. How’s the Silverado? Any complaints?
Man did I have fun in that Camaro, and really it was terrible in the snow. I mean deep snow it probably would be useless, but in town snow, fine. Funny because I always just thought of myself as more of a GM guy as I’ve always had some kind of GM vehicle, but now I guess I am a Chevy guy, lol. I had an '05 Sierra that I was planning to drive till it died, but it was taken out by a car thief stealing the neighbor’s car. Then long ago, I had an '84 Sierra Classic 3/4t, and later a '96 Saturn SL2. I love that Silverado; it’s a 2019 2500HD crew cab with the Duramax diesel, bought it used, and my god, I love that truck. It’s been very reliable; I can pull whatever I throw at it, and it sounds great. Pretty much stock at this point. I did replace the interior seats with Katzkin cooled/heated seats. The truck had heated before but no cool, which was something I wanted. Planning on a leveling kit, new shocks here very soon, maybe some new wheels. Just replaced the tires as the original tires were shot and winter was spooky with those. Also planning some basic under-the-hood upgrades, but not deleting as I am in an emissions testing state.
@Lex
I understand for sure. You are absolutely correct. If there was a bunch of snow, my Camaro wouldn’t make it💀We have very little snow at the moment where I am. I plan to just drive my Cruze in the snow per usual; it holds up well. I’ve had my Cruze for about 5 years now. Haven’t had the Camaro long, but I love it. Suspension is stiff for sure though. I will say that. I hear stiff suspension is pretty universal for the Camaros though. I most definitely will continue to look into a Silverado though. Thank you for the information. I just love the look of the Silverado. It’s mean and I’m sure it handles great. Also yes, you are a Chevy person like me hahaha. We do have some Jeeps and BMWs in the family, but I love Chevy for sure. Plus, parts aren’t super expensive I feel. I feel as though it’s cheap to replace a lot of stuff if you know how, which cuts labor costs.
Yes. I’ve come to understand that the bowtie is in my blood now. I’ve had plenty of German cars and outside of my old trusty 300SD from 1985, I find they’re not worth the expensive upkeep. Camaro has to keep it stiff; otherwise, it wouldn’t handle well and would just be a pony car. Which we can’t have that. Agreed on self-maintenance activities for the vehicles. Highly recommend the '19 model year Silverado HD; they just look great and you’re right, they can have a mean look to them.
I’ll take your word for it, for sure! Once I put the bowtie on my keychain, I’ve accepted my Chevrolet fate haha! I love the stiffness of the Camaro. It’s just so new to me. I’m used to driving cars with softer suspension. I most definitely feel a broken road, but my Camaro is just nasty. Always loved Camaros between 2010-2015 etc. and love the newer ones also. Head over heels for my 1LS for sure, but can’t wait until I upgrade in the future. I’ll rest easily for now with what I have though! I went from a 138HP hooptie to a muscle 323! That’s big to me so I’m blessed for sure.
Saw one on my way to New Jersey over the holidays; passed me on 95 like I was standing still. Fucking sexy.

Awesome experience! I walked directly next to that metallic beast in awe knowing it would’ve gapped my Camaro:joy:
