Title says it all. I’m in need of something reliable that I can keep forever. Are Cruzes good for this, or should I look elsewhere?
I had a 1st gen and I loved it, but it did have a lot of leaks.

A Cruze is the last thing you should look at if you want it to last forever. They’re known to be lemons. Seriously, if you want reliability, check out a Camry, Corolla, Civic, or Accord.

Wow, that’s not what I wanted to hear! Thanks for the heads up.
The 1.8s have cooling issues and weak head gaskets, while the 1.4s go through turbos like crazy. I’d recommend looking for something with the 3800 series V6 if you want it to last.
If you get the 1.4 turbo, be ready to save for a new turbo. I sell a ton of them in my parts business.
