What Common Problems Have Owners Experienced with the 2022 Chevy Blazer?

Hi everyone, I’m considering purchasing a 2022 Chevy Blazer and would like to know about any common issues or problems that owners have experienced. Are there specific areas where this model tends to have reliability concerns or frequent repairs?

We have a 2021 Blazer RS with 14k miles on it (purchased in December 2020), and I’m pleased to report that we haven’t encountered any issues. I would definitely recommend taking it to a Chevrolet dealership for any service or maintenance.

Oh no! We have a 2022 Blazer and haven’t had any problems at all, knock on wood. We don’t have a heated steering wheel due to the chip shortage, which is frustrating for my husband, but it does have heated and ventilated seats. Did you buy it new? (I’m assuming you did). Shouldn’t there be some kind of warranty? Is it an RS model?

Some reported issues with ABS warning lights and infotainment glitches, but overall seems reliable. Check online reviews and test drive before buying.

I purchased a 2022 Blazer RS in July. It is making an awful noise when I accelerate from a complete stop. It sounds like a jet ski taking off, but the sound stops when I get up to a consistent speed. The other issues are cosmetic ones but I believe that they may be linked. We found a bunch of bolts in the back corner pocket. We questioned the dealer about them and they said that they were “shipping bolts” my husband never did believe that response and believes that the back bumper has definitely been off of the car. I looked for over a year for this exact Blazer and I really wanted it so he didn’t want to kill my dream, so we bought it. After a week or so, he pointed out that the exhaust pipes in the back were not symmetrical. He didn’t think it was a big deal then, but knew that they either lied or were lied to about what those extra bolts are.The exhaust pipe on the right is in further than the left one. The right side is where the bolts were found… When I took it in for the noise, I pointed out the exhaust pipes and showed him them in comparison to another RS Blazer. After driving it,the dealer said that the exhaust was loose and it was a manufacturing defect. They supposedly ordered a whole new exhaust, but it still hasn’t came in and the noise is getting louder, and now there is a noticable gap between the tailgate and the bumper. The service manager is now denying that he ever heard my Blazer make an unusual sound but I have their paperwork that says that they did hear it. There is also something vibrating on the right side of the dashboard now and it is driving me nuts. The dealership is in no hurry to help me at all! We bought a new vehicle with 17 miles on it, paid $53,000 for it, and it is literally falling apart… This is my first brand new vehicle and I am devastated by all of this. I just feel sick and I feel like a damn fool!

Yes, we purchased it with ten miles on it! It’s a lease, but the dealer has been utterly terrible. They said it was a manufactured problem in the strut, so they changed it, but it didn’t stop the noise. I took it to another Chevy store, who said it was a steering shaft and the component was on back order.

Owners of the 2022 Chevy Blazer often report issues with the infotainment system, transmission, engine performance, suspension, electrical components, and build quality. Not all owners face these problems, but regular maintenance can help manage them.
