I have wanted a Chevy my whole life but I don’t want to get a truck just because I love how it looks and what it means to me. My price range is tight and only allows me to look at trucks with 100,000 miles or more. Which truck will actually last? I know multiple factors matter like service history, but overall, which should I choose? Chevys are pretty popular where I live, so the prices are similar to the Tacomas. Any advice would be appreciated.
Both vehicles are within 90% reliability. Go for price, mileage, and most importantly, condition, condition, condition. Brand loyalty could get you into the lesser choice.

That’s what I’m thinking. I don’t want to be stuck with a truck just because I ‘like it.’ I need a truck that’ll get me to work and around town. I ain’t being paid to be loyal, so I just want a good reliable one.
I’d say go for whichever one gives you the best bang for your buck.
Check both out. Which one is cheaper, which is better maintained? Either truck should last if cared for. Think about daily driving and what feels best to you. Maintenance is key.
Whichever you like better, honestly. Toyota truck guys can be a bit annoying, but only slightly more than Silverado truck guys.
