1985 Chevy Blazer s10 engine ideas

Hi there to all of you. My Chevy Blazer S10 4x4 from 1985 is mine. It has a stick shift transmission and a 2.8-liter V6 engine. I was going to rebuild the engine because it has blown. After doing some study, I concluded that the terrible engine made it not worth it. I was looking to see if anyone knew of any other Chevy engines I could swap over for it. Something that might work with that same transmission, perhaps? I would be grateful for any assistance.Regards

Hey sis, listen, although some people perform engine swaps themselves, it’s generally advisable to hire a professional for a smoother and more reliable process.and aalso
Upgrading components such as the intake, exhaust, and suspension can enhance your new engine and improve overall performance.

Hello! If you’re considering swapping out the engine in your 1985 Chevy Blazer S10 4x4 and the 2.8-liter V6 isn’t worth rebuilding, there are a few options you might explore. The 4.3-liter V6 (also known as the GM 4.3L) is a popular and more powerful upgrade that fits well with the existing transmission and should be a relatively straightforward swap. It offers better performance and reliability while still being compatible with the truck’s setup. Another option is the small-block Chevy V8, such as the 305 or 350, which would provide a significant power boost. However, keep in mind that swapping to a V8 might require some additional modifications, such as changing the motor mounts, adjusting the transmission, and possibly upgrading the cooling system. Be sure to check the compatibility of these engines with your existing transmission and consider any additional parts or adjustments needed for a smooth swap.
