1999 Chevrolet Suburban Gas Type

I’ve been eyeing the 1999 Chevrolet Suburban for a while now and I’m getting close to making a decision. One thing I’m unsure about is the type of gas it uses. Does anyone have experience with this? Does the Suburban require premium fuel, or is regular unleaded just fine? I’d love to hear from current or past owners about their experiences with fuel types and if it has any impact on performance or costs. Thanks a lot for any insights you can share!

I’ve owned my 1999 Suburban for 15 years and have consistently used regular unleaded fuel without any issues. It runs reliably strong. Unless you’ve made high-performance engine modifications, regular unleaded should work perfectly fine for you.

My 1999 Chevrolet Suburban runs on pure happiness … and also regular unleaded gasoline :fuelpump:. Just kidding, but seriously, regular unleaded is all you need.

The 1999 Chevrolet Suburban uses regular unleaded gasoline. The base engine is a 5.7 L V8, and Chevrolet recommends using gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher for optimal performance. While higher-grade octanes can be used, the minimum suggested grade is 87.
So, you are good to go with regular unleaded fuel :hugs:
