Hi folks…
First off, no judgment on my car model, please! I’m driving a 2010 Chevy Aveo, and recently I’ve run into a bit of an issue with the horn. Whenever I try to honk, all I get is a clicking sound, but no actual horn noise.
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? I’m not super handy with car repairs, so I’m hoping to get some pointers on what to check or what might be wrong before I take it to a mechanic. Thanks in advance for any advice…

A clicking sound without the horn working could be due to a few issues: a blown fuse, a faulty relay, a worn-out horn, corroded connectors, a broken wire, or a damaged clock spring in the steering wheel. Start by checking the fuse and relay yourself. If those are fine, it’s a good idea to get a mechanic to take a closer look.
No worries about the Aveo – it’s got character…A clicking noise usually means the horn itself might be kaput, or there’s a loose connection somewhere. If you’re up for a bit of DIY, check the horn fuse or connections under the hood. Could be a quick fix! If you’re not feeling confident, a mechanic can sort it out in no time.
