So I just recently bought a 2013 Chevy Cruze and when I got the keyfob ended up finding the car has remote start. Well I have beem trying to use it but it doesn’t work I even replaced the fob and remote start doesn’t work. I even go into my car setting on the screen and the feature is not in the settings. How can I can I find out if the remote start module is installed in the car. Any help would be great.
Check if there are any stored check engine light (CEL) codes in the history. Any CEL, regardless of its impact on the engine, will disable the remote start feature.
Check your engine’s coolant and oil levels. If the coolant temperature is too low or the oil pressure is insufficient, the remote start function will be disabled. Allow the car to cool down for 5-10 minutes, top up the fluid levels, and then retry the starting procedure.
